  • Wisdom of the American Founders

A careful analysis of U.S. history reveals that virtually every serious problem now confronting American society can be traced to a departure from the sound principles taught by these great statesmen. ---Jay A. Parry, National Center for Constitutional Studies

  • CANNOT HALF-HEARTEDLY SUPPORT CONSTITUTION

I am not partly for the Constitution, and partly against it; I am wholly for it. I disdain the character of an uncommitted man. I am committed, fully committed to the constitution. And i am committed against everything which, in my judgment, may weaken, endanger, or destroy it. And especially against all extension of executive power; and any attempt to rule the free people of this country by the power and the patronage of the government itself. --- Daniel Webster
  • Liberty Requires Property

The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. Property must be secured, or liberty cannot exist. ---John Adams

  • First Duty of Citizens

It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties. We hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens, and one of the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The freemen of America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise, and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle. ---James Madison

42 Ancient Principles That Could Change the World

A few weeks ago I attended a special event by the FreeCapitalist Project called the Prosperity Prime Round Table. The Prosperity Prime is a model of ancient and long-forgotten principles that could help change the world if people started to live according to them.

Principles are succinct foundational structures that never change, upon which success, any success is based. Some call them laws of nature. Gravity is an example of one of those laws of nature—not necessarily the way Newton defined it; I mean the fact that there is a force of some sort that makes us stick to the earth and not float away into space and if we do not obey that law we can meet a pretty final unsuccessful end. There are thousands of principles, some we know as easily as gravity, while others escape our currently limited minds, just waiting in the wings for us to discover them and learn to live accordingly.

LDS doctrine contains the best explanation I have seen of this idea:

20 There is a alaw, irrevocably decreed in bheaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all cblessings are predicated—

21 And when we obtain any ablessing from God, it is by bobedience to that law upon which it is predicated.

This doctrine is certainly not limited to that religion, or to religion alone. This applies to science, society, everything.

The principles named and organized in the Prosperity Prime Model are equally impactful on man. We live in a time when most people do not believe in principle, they think that success is a thing of luck or chance. Most people travel through life never making the connection between their successes and the principles they obeyed to obtain that success. I will reflect upon this more in subsequent posts. For now, I wish to enumerate the model that is Prosperity Prime.
